I always felt something’s hiding inside of me.
I couldn’t locate it.
I couldn’t talk about it.
Before I could decipher its meaning, the images emerged.
Through a series of documentary and staged photographs, „Home Story“ tells fragmented
stories marked by violence, taking place in a space usually associated with safety: the home. It’s difficult to translate trauma into our lived reality. In a patriarchal world, experiences of domestic violence shatter into unspeakable individual cases, yet this perception seems to be changing today. Behind every personal story lies a system that thrives on silence. The more we are able to talk about it, the more visible this system becomes.
